ivan ottinger It was a warm night. A sleeping mat and a thin sleeping bag were enough. We woke up at sunrise to the chirping of birds. The clearing where we had stayed looked even more beautiful than it had the evening before.
Clearing above the old quarry
To the south-east, the ground drops off sharply into a cliff. Below it lies an old quarry.
On the opposite side, an earthen ridge lined with low shrubs closes off the space. They form a natural barrier and give the place a sense of shelter.
On the side, a larger branch rests against the ground. It adds another imagined wall and a feeling of safety.
But we are already packing up and shortly we are walking through the forest.

The forest path leads us to the ruins of a castle. It is not large. If you have been here before, you will surely recognise it.
